What Payment Methods Do You Accept?

We accept Master Card, Visa, American Express and Discover Card. Personal or business check accepted, please allow 7 days to clear. Government accounts can be set up on credit approval (net 30).All credit card orders or orders paid by check require a minimum 50% deposit at the time the order is placed, with the balance being paid or charged to your credit card at the time your order is released to the contracted delivery company to fulfill your order. Depending on where you live or the type of order you place, shipping for delivery to your home may exceed the billing cycle on your credit card or other financing sources. Back to top.

How Are My Products Shipped?

Products that are small enough and light enough will be shipped via Fed Ex Ground service. This is usually a 3-5 business day service, after it has been picked up from our dock. Shipping quotes will depend on the order composition. Large furniture items and heavy ready to assemble items will be shipped by a long haul freight carrier. Shipping quotes will depend on the order composition. There are three levels of service.Not all products will have all shipping options available.
1. Curbside Delivery - This shipping method is our default shipping method. This is a delivery where the customer may have to help the driver remove the items from the truck. The driver is not responsible for moving the items into the house. There is no assembly service.

2. Inside Delivery - This is a one-man "threshold" delivery where the driver will bring the items into the home. Placement, unpacking, and removal of packing and shipping materials will be performed by the customer. There is no assembly service.

3. White Glove Delivery - This is a two man, inside delivery where the drivers will bring the items into the home, place them where the customer desires, unpack the items, and remove the packing and shipping materials. There is no assembly service.

How are my items scheduled for deliverey?
When the merchandise arrives at the delivery station, the customer will be contacted to set up a delivery appointment. Deliveries are made Monday-Friday during business hours. The customer will be given a delivery window.This delivery window may vary from delivery station to delivery station and can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours. Back to top.

What do I do when my items are delivered?

When your items arrive for delivery, please follow these steps:
1. Inspect your merchandise before the driver leaves.
2. If you are concerned about the condition of any product, then
3. Open the boxes and look for hidden damage.
4. If there is damage, write on the freight bill how many pieces and what kind of damage and call TEMA immediately at 800-895-8362.
5. If the damage is to one or two items in your order, please accept the entire shipment and TEMA will advise you on how to proceed. If the entire order is damaged, please refuse the shipment, notating the damage on the freight bill and call TEMA immediately at 800-895-8362.

We have two stores in the Albuquerque, New Mexico Metro Area. One on the East Side - TEMA Contemporary Furniture and the other is on the West Side - TEMA Contemporary Furniture's West Side.

Does TEMA Contemporary Furniture have special sales?

TEMA Contemporary Furniture has one big Tent Sale every Memorial Day Weekend to clearout discontinued furniture models, display stock and one of a kind furniture items. We have a Clearance Section in the main store for discontinued items. These items are usually marked down drastically. Occasionally, we will have a promotion that will be advertised through the media or our Web site, so if you're looking for special pricing, check back often. Back to top.

Why not have 50% to 70% discounts like other furniture stores?

Today's consumers are smarter than most retailers give them credit for being. It doesn't take much figuring out to see that a retailer offering huge discounts is inflating their prices first, we don't do that. We figure a reasonable markup over what the product actually costs and that is what you will find marked in our showroom and online. Nothing tricky going on here. Back to top.

Yes! We often buy manuafcturer's discontinued stock and sell it for bargain prices in our showrooms. Also, every month, we markdown the items in the showroom that aren't selling fast enough in order to make room for other items on the way.
